Medusa

5 07 2012

On a recent quiet and rainy night a friend took me to Medusa, a swish little cocktail bar hidden in a basement off Staunton Street. It is just a few doors up from another- very different – bar I like. Whereas Soho Corner is all about sipping beers in the outdoors, watching the world go by and shooting the shit with the passing trade of backpackers and finance people, Medusa is cute, luxurious and quiet with great drinks, plush decor and oil paintings of the mythological figure for which it is named. Plus, there is a hilarious Australian-Spanish barkeeper who kept us entertained with the most amazing stories all night.
