Back in Hong Kong

16 08 2012

I arrived back in Hong Kong to a suffocatingly hot and hazy city and an immediate series of financial crises, crushing post-holiday blues and emotional turmoil. It was not the best homecoming. Still, I had a few days before work and enjoyed them, pounding the pavements and felling a bit more inspired walking around on the HK streets.

My new school year resolution is to stop bitching and moaning so much about the city, acknowledge that yes it is not perfect but it also has things about it that are great, and I need to celebrate these more.

After all, no city that is widely decorated with “Singing Bone” McSkeletor Death Kitties can be all bad.
