More big city dreaming, this time in musical form and from the other side of the Atlantic. I discovered The Ssion recently on youtube (via a recommendation in BUTT magazine).
They are a ‘performing art’/pop group (or is it just the one guy, I am not sure) hailing from Kansas – the embodiment of the smalltown Midwestern dreamers who broke free and fled to NY’s Downtown scene to reinvent themselves as moutachioed drag queen electro-punk mavens.
Luckily they have some great tunes to back up the image (and an Alicia Keys interlude in a convenience store. Love it.)
And here they (he?) team up with Sao Paulo’s finest for a collaboration with Lovefoxx of CSS which I totally missed when it first came out a few years ago…
