Mobile M+ Inflatable Art

12 05 2013

Hot on the heels of HK’s inflatable duck mania comes (by bizarre coincidence) more inflatable art in the city. The ‘Mobile M+’ openair exhibition is being held at the site of the Kowloon Cultural Centre – yet to be built and currently a windswept and tangled sweep of grass between a freeway and the harbourĀ  – with stunning views.

The show is exactly what Hong Kong needs more of – free, fun art aimed more at capturing people’s imaginations than keeping up with the Wongs.

The star attraction is a bizarre “sculpture” of dog excrement (yes, that is actually what it is supposed to represent) but the inflatable Stonehenge-and-jumping-castle was also a big bit.
