Melbourne’s White Night

21 02 2016

Images from Melbourne’s White Night, now in its fourth year, a festival of illuminations, events and street entertainment designed to bring people into the city centre between midnight and 7am.

This year’s events drew record crowds, although some complained that the attractions were not as spectacular as in previous years. These included a seven metre-tall golden spotlit monkey on the city’s Town Hall, illuminations of marine life projected on to the bottom of the  City Baths swimming pool and on to the dome of the State Library, as well as the facades of city landmarks, UV glow-in-the-dark grafitti, a circus and a samba band.
