New and improved

Cityplaza, a local shopping centre in the upper-middle class residential development of Taikoo Shing, continues its evolution towards being my favourite Hong Kong mall. In addition to such staples as a Marks & Spencer, a Muji, a Uniqlo and an H&M, it has recently added a sprawling branch of Taipei’s Eslite book & lifestyle store, an outpost of Bangkok’s Greyhound Cafe and in its latest development, a mall-foodcourt-snake restaurant spawned by the famed Central “Snake King” Ser Wong Fun. Plus, its movie theatre is currently in the process of being transformed to an arthouse screen modelled on Yau Ma Tei’s Cinematheque, making it the perfect place to spend a whole grey wintry afternoon.
